File Delivery Guide

Quick Guide

  • Export WAV, 24-bit or higher
  • Use the same sample rate as your session
  • If using Pro Tools, send the session as detailed below
  • If sending stems, all stems must start from the exact same start point
  • Stems must be full length and match the reference mix
  • Turn off all mix bus plugins before exporting and include screenshots of the plugins that are bypassed
  • Include: BPM, Key, Sample Rate, Bit Depth, and a Reference Mix

Required Session Info

Include the following with your stems — in an email, a SESSION INFO.txt file, or in the folder name:

BPM: 140

Key: F# Minor

Sample Rate: 48kHz

Bit Depth: 24-bit

Reference Mix: SongName_REF.wav

Dry & Wet Stems

  • Send dry files if you think they'd be helpful, if in doubt feel free to send both clearly labelled WET and DRY
  • We always want wet stems, especially when the effect is an important part of the sound
  • Always send a dry version of the lead vocals (with tuning committed)
  • Label buses clearly: DRUM BUS, VOCAL BUS, etc.
  • If you have plugins on your master, include a screenshot of the chain/settings

Clean Up & Label Tracks

  • Tidy up the session and name every track correctly e.g. 'Kick Drum'
  • Hide/Inactive any unused or empty tracks
  • Delete any muted clips

Plugins

  • Leave all plugins and mix bus processing intact but remove inactive sends and plugins
  • Assume that we own all plugins, we'll reach out if any questions

Commit Tuning

  • Commit any Melodyne or Auto-Tune processing on vocal tracks
  • Send a dry vocal: no EQ, compression, or FX — but with tuning committed. Leave any plugins

Make a Reference Mix

  • Bounce a stereo mix of your current session and leave at the top of the project muted

Save a Copy of the Session

  • Go to: File → Save Copy As
  • Select 'Main Playlist Only' — tick 'Copy Audio Files' in the options

Deliver

  • Send the copied session folder
